One year ago I read a book named “Who Whas Blackbeard”. I chose this book because I liked the other book that I read before this book Pirates of The Caribbean, It was also a book about pirates. That’s the reason why I chose this book after reading Pirates of the Carribbean. The book is about the biography of Blackbeard and the story of Blackbeard. The book is published at November 10 in 2015. And has 112 pages. The author of the book is James Buckley Jr. James Buckley Jr has written more than 50 books. He has written 14 titles in the "Who Was..." biography series, including titles on Muhammad Ali, the Wright Brothers, Milton Hershey, and Blackbeard. 

In 1717 Philadelphia was one of the largest city’s in the American colonies, which were owned by Great Britain. Philadelphia was on the Delaware River, and its port welcomed ships from Europe almost every day. But in the fall of that year, many of those ships never made it to port. The few stories that shocked and frightened the English colonists in and around Philadelphia. A pirate ship was lurking nearby in the Atlantic Ocean, where the Delaware met the sea.

Captains arriving in New York City and Baltimore told the same stories. A pirate was attacking their ships. He swooped in with his black flag flying. His men stormed ships and stole everything. The pirate captain himself had a long black beard and wore belts rigged with pistols and

swords. He wore rope in his beard so that his face was ringed by smoke. His ship was equipped with cannons that sent iron balls smashing into the fragile sides of wooden ships. no one will challenge Blackbeard and his crew. Because he had a strong ship. The government is trying to defend Blackbeard. Will the government succeed to stop blackbeard?

I will recommend the book for people who loves books about pirates. And for people who want to know more about Captain Blackbeard. The book is for every age, and is also easy to read. And keeps the reader interested all the way through the story.
